According to the Rongat, Kabbita Policy 2017, there was no provision of being a representative of the women society despite the representation and supervision committee implementation of the Haor Protection Dam Project, but there were representatives of various class-profession of society.
In view of this, the President of Sunamganj District Women Development Forum and Human Resources Secretary of Bangladesh Krishak League Central Committee Ad. Shamima Shahriar Kabhita changed the policy and demanded to include a representative of women society in every District-Upazila Monitoring Committee, beginning 28 October and later on 29 November, the ministry applied for the ministry. In view of his application, a special meeting of water development board was held in the chairmanship of the Water Resources Minister on 30 November. At the meeting, she presented strong demand for women's involvement. The decision was unanimously adopted and circular was issued to the Ministry on 21 December.
Add. Shamima Shahriar urged all concerned including the district and upazila administration so that according to the latest notification women were included in all the committees.
